Reduce Crow’s Feet and Frown Lines with Injectable Neuromodulators in the New Jersey Area
The skin around the eyes is delicate and thin, so it’s more likely to show signs of aging or fatigue as time goes by. Sagging, discoloration, puffiness, and wrinkles tend to easily appear in this area of the face. Since it’s so fragile, the skin around the eye area is more susceptible to breaking down, and it tends to age faster than skin on other parts of the face. BOTOX® around the eyes at our New Jersey practice is an FDA-approved solution. The wrinkle-relaxing injectable is ideal for treating moderate to severe crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes and frown lines between the eyebrows.
BOTOX® for the Eyes: How Does BOTOX® Around the Eyes Work?
BOTOX® around the eyes relaxes the underlying muscles that contract during our facial expressions, leading to the development of wrinkles. For example, BOTOX® between the eyes minimizes moderate to severe glabellar lines, also known as frown lines between the brows. BOTOX® for eye wrinkles can reduce wrinkles and fine lines for three to four months on average.

BOTOX® Around the Eyes: What is BOTOX® for Hooded Eyes?
BOTOX® for hooded eyes—also known as hooded eye BOTOX®, BOTOX® eye lift, or jelly roll BOTOX®—is another popular “BOTOX® around the eyes” treatment. This technique provides a subtle lift to the eyebrows to give the eyes a more open and brighter look. Rejuvenating this area with BOTOX® around the eyes is often the best way to restore a more youthful appearance.
Beyond BOTOX® Around the Eyes: What Other Areas Can BOTOX® Treat?
There are many other types of BOTOX® treatments you can consider for cosmetic reasons, including:
- Low eyebrow: Eyebrow shaping requires a skilled hand. Dr. Robin Levin uses BOTOX® to coax muscles into positioning an eyebrow that doesn't sag, but also doesn't sit too high. Think of it as a BOTOX® brow lift.
- Bunny lines: These are creases that appear when the nose is wrinkled. BOTOX® can prevent the underlying muscle that causes them from contracting.
- Lip lines: These are vertical wrinkles that run radially round the mouth but soften or disappear when treated.
- Gummy smiles: Many people don't want to reveal much of their gums when they smile, and BOTOX® can prevent their upper lip from retracting too far.
- Forehead BOTOX® to reduce horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, above the brows.
- Under eyes BOTOX® to soften wrinkles below the eyes and muscle bulges below the eyes.
- Chin BOTOX® to treat several types of wrinkles or deep creases in the skin.
- Masseter BOTOX® to enhance the shape of the face by reducing the size of bulky jaw muscles. This can have a face-slimming effect.
- Nose BOTOX® to treat wrinkles at the sides of the nose.
- Trapezius BOTOX® to provide sculpted shoulders and a more elongated-looking neck. (Note that we do not offer this treatment option.)
Medical BOTOX® treatments such as underarm BOTOX® or BOTOX® for migraines are not currently available at our practice. In addition to BOTOX® for eye wrinkles, BOTOX® around the eyes is also used by some providers for treating eye conditions. For example, BOTOX® for a lazy eye or BOTOX® for uneven eyes is effective for strabismus or crossed eyes—but again, these treatments are not available at South Jersey Skin Care. We also maintain that BOTOX® and pregnancy do not mix.
